Hundreds of businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and consumers are expected to converge at the Jubilee Park in Tamale this weekend as the Northern Business Fair 2026 opens on Saturday, July 25, with organisers promising two days of business opportunities, networking and market expansion.
The fair, which runs until Sunday, July 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, organised by Channel One TV/Citi FM, is expected to transform the venue into one of the largest commercial hubs in Northern Ghana, bringing together businesses from across the country to showcase products, forge partnerships and connect directly with thousands of potential customers.
More than just an exhibition, the Northern Business Fair has established itself as a platform where businesses generate sales, build lasting customer relationships and unlock new growth opportunities.
For many exhibitors, the event offers a rare chance to engage face-to-face with consumers, receive instant feedback on their products and strengthen their market presence.
The impact of the fair has been evident in the previous edition, where several exhibitors reported selling out their products before the event concluded due to overwhelming customer demand. Those success stories have heightened anticipation for this year’s edition, with many businesses returning in hopes of expanding their customer base while new exhibitors seek to replicate those achievements.
Visitors can expect a wide variety of products and services ranging from locally processed agricultural produce to fashion, cosmetics, handicrafts, household products, technology solutions, financial services and other innovative Made-in-Ghana offerings.
The fair will also feature live product demonstrations and interactive exhibition stands, allowing patrons to experience products first-hand while engaging directly with manufacturers, entrepreneurs and business owners.
For small and medium-sized enterprises, the event represents far more than an opportunity to make immediate sales. It provides a platform to increase brand visibility, launch new products, study consumer preferences and establish partnerships that could support long-term business growth.
Many entrepreneurs, particularly those operating in Northern Ghana, continue to face challenges in accessing larger markets. The Northern Business Fair seeks to bridge that gap by creating a single venue where businesses can engage with thousands of consumers, corporate organisations, investors and development partners over two days.
Consumers also stand to benefit from the event by discovering quality Ghanaian products, comparing offerings from multiple businesses and taking advantage of promotional discounts that are often exclusive to exhibition events.
Beyond the commercial activities, organisers say the fair is intended to promote entrepreneurship, encourage local production and strengthen collaboration among businesses while positioning Northern Ghana as an attractive destination for investment and enterprise development.
The 2026 edition has been opened to businesses from across Ghana, with organisers encouraging companies outside the northern sector to participate and tap into new markets while showcasing their products and services to a broader audience.
Organisers are optimistic that the 2026 edition will build on the success of previous fair, offering participating businesses increased visibility, stronger customer engagement and new avenues for growth while reinforcing the role of entrepreneurship in driving economic development in Northern Ghana.
The fair is powered by Channel One TV with support from Citi FM and is sponsored by Ecobank, the National Petroleum Authority, the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), and Northshore Apparel Ghana Ltd.
